After the excitement of being announced as one of McCrea Financial Services charities of the year, we couldn’t wait to see what they got up to. Their fundraising certainly started with a bang, raising over £5000 for Glasgow Care Foundation with their annual charity golf tournament.

Congratulation to the winners this year, the Evelyn Putters, who counted their second win in three years. They won a fourball at the prestigious Royal Dornoch, alongside a special Winner Trophy for each team member to remember their victory.

Throughout the day, McCrea organised a number of fundraising initiatives. Up for grabs at the 16th hole was a Lexus ES300h, but it sadly went unclaimed when no one succeeded in making a hole-in-one at the 16th hole par 3. There were numerous other prizes and competitions to be won, including Longest Drive and Nearest the Pin and those in last place were lucky enough to win hilarious little golf gnomes!

Also at the 16th hole, McCrea had ‘Guess the Reg’. Guests were invited to guess the real registration plate of the Lexus waiting to be won, and if correct, would win a £10,000 cash prize – it cost £10 to have three guesses, with every penny going to charity. We will find out in the next few weeks if any player was able to guess correctly and hope to share some good news!
