Glasgow Care Foundation, now in its 150th year, will again have a Christmas Appeal to support families in need across Glasgow. We’re asking for donations via our JustGiving page https://www.justgiving.com/cam
Here are some ideas on how you can help:
* Ditch the Secret Santa – Instead of participating in office Secret Santa gift exchanges, encourage colleagues to donate a supermarket gift cards to families in need instead this Christmas.
* Give Up Your Festive Treats for Charity – Whether it’s giving up your daily cinnamon latte or skipping a festive pastry, you can donate the equivalent amount to our Christmas Appeal. Small sacrifices can add up to a big difference!
* Christmas Jumper Day with a Twist – Host a Christmas Jumper Day at work, school, or among friends. Instead of just wearing festive jumpers, ask participants to donate a gift card or contribute to the JustGiving page in exchange for taking part.
* Holiday Baking for a Cause – Host a holiday bake sale with friends, family, or colleagues and donate the proceeds to the GCF Christmas Appeal.
* Gift Vouchers in Lieu of Gifts – Instead of traditional gifts, consider giving your friends and family a supermarket gift card to donate to the GCF Christmas Appeal. Encourage others to do the same.
* Christmas Movie Marathon Fundraiser – Gather friends or family for a Christmas movie marathon and ask each attendee to contribute a supermarket gift card or donate to the appeal. It’s a fun way to get in the holiday spirit while giving back.
* Festive Charity Challenge – Create a personal challenge, like walking 10,000 steps a day in December or doing 12 days of festive activities and ask people to sponsor you by donating to the Christmas Appeal.
* Support Local, Give Local – If you’re planning on buying local Christmas gifts, why not also donate a gift card to support families in your community? Every little bit helps.
* Donate in Someone’s Name – Struggling to find the perfect gift? Donate to the GCF Christmas Appeal in a friend or family member’s name as a thoughtful and impactful present.
