Ambassadors

We rely heavily on our Ambassadors and Friends to spread the word about Glasgow Care Foundation. As all our funding is via companies and individuals we are so grateful to each and everyone of you!

If you want to support us by becoming one – please contact Elaine Sergeant on elaine@glasgowcarefoundation.org

Our Ambassadors

Made up of individuals, companies and networks – our Ambassadors are our route to the Business Community. We appreciate that not everyone can support financially – however spreading how the Glasgow Care Foundation works to their network is as important, for future funding.

Some of our Ambassadors have also supported us in raising funds, choosing us their Charity of the Year and helping our aim to ‘Alleviate Poverty in Glasgow’. Others have supported the Foundation by donating their services free of charge or at a reduced charge.

“I first met Elaine from GCF several years ago at a business networking event. I instantly loved how she talked in stories. Stories about how the GCF have helped individuals and families living in poverty in and around Glasgow since 1874. GCF is a small charity but has a huge heart, so I’m honoured to spread the word throughout the business community for them.

One phrase always sticks in my head when I think of the GCF… “A Helping Hand not a Hand out,”. They instinctively know how to help people in a way that the recipient doesn’t feel uncomfortable and they can accept their help without damaging their pride. The GCF is quite often the last hope for many people so I will do all I can do to help them raise awareness and funds for this amazing organisation.”

“Guy is active and visible in the business world with his position as Volunteer for the Federation of Small Businesses and also a member of its Scottish Policy Unit. In his capacity there he hosts various events, both locally and nationally, and will be able to use that elevated platform to raise awareness of the Charity to the Business Community: which in turn will hopefully bring donations benefitting those in need in Glasgow. Guy will also be able to help in events with Photography and advise on matters such as PR and Marketing.”

“I have been in the entertainment industry for over 20 years and like to give back when I can, I met Elaine at a network meeting and was amazed to hear about the work Glasgow Care Foundation does in helping families in Glasgow. I was delighted to perform at their fundraising events and offer some support. It is sad that the need for their work still exists but I am pleased to be one of their Ambassadors and share their story at any opportunity.”

Revitalise

It has been an absolute pleasure and privilege to be supporting the Glasgow Care Foundation for the past 5 years plus, I decided to be an ambassador to this great cause because of the great work that they do in supporting individuals, families and children across the Glasgow area.
The GCF has been a nominated charity within my business for the past 5 years also, I've taken on the challenges to do half marathons and walks over the years to raise much needed funds for this great cause. I will endeavour to do what I can to provide even further support over the years ahead not just in business but personally.
I would highly recommend to any business and individual to find out more of how to get involved as just the gift of time & awareness will make the biggest difference to everyone who is involved with this great cause across Glasgow.

WhatsoninGlasgow

Glasgow Care Foundation is a fantastic charity which helps local people, there are no big wages to be paid and the money goes direct to people who need it. I am becoming an ambassador because I want to raise awareness of this great charity and help raise funds for the charity. I meet a lot of businesses within my working week and I would like to let them know about the charity too.

I attended a networking event and upon learning all about the GFC I knew I wanted to help raise awareness. They are a fantastic charity doing amazing things for those who need support in Glasgow. I'm delighted to be able to offer them my design time to help get their message visible. I'm also going to do my part in some fundraising too. As a business owner I speak to business owners everyday and know I can help get the word out.
